世界上最大的水泥生產(chǎn)商之一德國(guó)海德堡水泥宣稱(chēng)，格魯吉亞-奧塞梯沖突已造成其在的格魯吉亞的廠(chǎng)損失了20萬(wàn)歐元。
公司主管Meinhard Tul在9月2日的一個(gè)新聞簡(jiǎn)報(bào)中說(shuō)，俄羅斯飛機(jī)轟炸了海德堡水泥的Kasp水泥工程，電力廂也被損壞。
不過(guò)Meinhard Tul說(shuō)：“水泥工程并沒(méi)有被完全破壞，公司還可以繼續(xù)工程活動(dòng)?！痹搹S(chǎng)在沖突開(kāi)始時(shí)就已封閉，這促使損失上升，他說(shuō)。

Meinhard Tul指出水泥廠(chǎng)的業(yè)務(wù)還是遇到了困難，“由于鐵路運(yùn)輸車(chē)短缺，海德堡水泥在交通運(yùn)輸方面有困難。格魯吉亞國(guó)家鐵路辦事處已向海德堡水泥的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)對(duì)手亞美尼亞和土耳其公司提交車(chē)輛”。他說(shuō)：“我們理解格魯吉亞國(guó)家鐵路辦公室的立場(chǎng)，，長(zhǎng)距離貨物運(yùn)輸可以賺得更多的收入。我們正與鐵路辦公室和經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展部展開(kāi)會(huì)談，來(lái)解決車(chē)輛短缺”

Head of company Meinhard Tul said in a briefing on 2 September that Russian aircraft bombed Kasp cement works of HeidelbergCement and electric cabins have been damaged.
“The cement works has not been damaged directly which enables the company to continue activities,” Tul said.
The plant has been closed since the beginning of conflict which prompted rise in the loss, he said.
Meinhard Tul noted the company is not going to suspend its activities in Georgia and will continue investing in the economy of the country. Meinhard
“In 2008, 20 millions of lari are expected to be invested in Georgia’s economy,” Tul said. The volume of investments amounted to 350mln lari for the last two years.
Tul touched upon the hardships in direct activities of the plant. “HeidelbergCement has problems concerning transportation because of shortage of railroad cars. State Railway Office of Georgia has submitted cars to the rivals of HeidelbergCement, Armenian and Turkish companies,” he said.
“We understand position of State Railway Office of Georgia who earns more income from the transportation of cargo for longer distances. Talks are being held with both Railway Office and Ministry of Economic Development to address shortage of cars,” Tul said.
The key stockholder of HeidelbergCement is German Spohn Cement (75%).
